Project Overview

Padah LNG is setting up a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility to be constructed at Eastern Obolo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. On completion, this plant will have liquefaction capacity of 3.4 MMTPA with 2 LNG Storage Tanks of 200,000 Cu. Meter capacity, each, with provision to expand further.

The project, under Phase -I of development, will have multiple trains with over all liquefaction and export capacity of 3.4 MMTPA. The LNG Storage Tanks will above ground , elevated, full containment, 9 % Ni inner tank with pre-stressed concrete outer wall, offering the maximum safety against any potential leakage hazard. For the construction of LNG facility, standard, proven and off-the-shelf standard technology from reputed licensors will be used for both the liquefaction process as LNG Storage Tanks for reliability, safety and timely completion. The plant will be designed to minimize environmental impact in the region.

For LNG buyers, Padah LNG will offers manageable volumes, flexible terms, and maximum arbitrage between global gas markets. Padah LNG is focused towards developing a low cost, low risk, realistically sized project suited for today’s global markets.

Project Strength

  • Padah LNG have access to assured supply of feed gas during entire project life of more than 20 years.
  • The project location is close to the feed gas supplier company which reduced the feed gas cost to the company.
  • The feed gas is free of Sulphur and Mercury which lowers the Capex and Opex of the Project.
  • The project is proposed under the Free Trade Zone which benefits the project in terms of lower Capex along with other Tax exemptions.
  • The project geographical location gives access to the European and South America LNG markets puts in a competitive position compared to US, Australian, East Africa and Middle East LNG
